Our Structure & Companion Organizations

Multiple organizations work together to ensure that our members receive a high quality cryopreservation and that long-term care remains stable and continuous.
Lead European biostasis provider

Tomorrow Bio

Tomorrow Bio works with two companion organizations, the Tomorrow Patient Foundation (TPF, a "Patient Care Trust") and the European Biostasis Foundation (EBF), to provide a complete cryonics service. Tomorrow Bio is a mission driven organization based in Berlin that provides medical standby, medical biostasis teams, ensures readiness and training, and more. Additionally, Tomorrow handles contracts, customer communications, and community building.
Long-term oriented

TPF and EBF

The TPF is a non-profit private benefit organization that serves the role of the legal guardian of the cryopreserved patient (this role can be taken by EBF if necessary). The sole purpose of the TPF is to ensure stable and secure cryopreservation for its patients and manage funds so that cryopreservation can be maintained indefinitely. The EBF is a Swiss non-profit foundation dedicated to furthering Biostasis by conducting scientific research. The EBF also provides and maintains the facility for the long-term care of TPF patients.

Built for success & security

Why does Tomorrow Bio use this structure?

To provide the best (i.e. stability and quality) cryonics service both growth and stability are important. Growth is important because it will allow us to significantly decrease the cost of cryopreservation in the long run, invest into important Biostasis research, and make the cryonics field more stable. Towards this goal, we are dedicated to providing high quality customer service, an easy sign up process, and actively work on building a community and PR.

For the security of our cryopreserved patients, long-term care must be done with non-profit organizations that are specifically optimized for maximum stability and security. This is why cryopreservation maintenance is handled by the TPF and EBF. The division of responsibilities between these three organizations allows our members to benefit from the effects of growth without any compromise in long-term stability.

Tomorrow Bio - Standby

Tomorrow Bio is responsible for Medical standby. This means we maintain all necessary medical equipment for cryoprotection, hire medical personnel, train them in the latest cryoprotection procedures, and keep them on call 24/7 to dispatch to you. Our standby teams do full-body cryoprotection on site. This includes initial cool-down and perfusion of specialized cryoprotectant solutions that protect against ice formation when sub-zero temperatures are reached. We also invest in research and development projects that improve the quality of cryopreservation and bring down cost.  Lastly, we are responsible for customer communication, insurance contracts, community building and being your guide throughout the whole process. Do not hesitate to contact us with any question, concern or problem you might have!

Tomorrow Patient Foundation (TPF) - Long-Term Storage

The TPF is a non-profit private benefit organization which means that the organization itself operates without any profit motive and works for the private benefit of the patients in its care. The TPF's sole responsibility is to keep patients secure and cryopreserved for however long it takes for revival to be possible. The TPF puts the long-term storage funds into very low risk investments that have an annual return of 1-2% above inflation. This is more than enough to pay for the running costs of keeping patients cryopreserved. If any threat to the security of its patients should arise at any point in the future (legal, geo-political, etc.), the TPF would work to alleviate the threat (for example by moving the patient to another location if necessary).

European Biostasis Foundation - Research

The EBF provides the facility for long-term care for Tomorrow Bio's patients. The final cryopreservation procedures will be done at the facility i.e. cooling the patient down to -196 degrees celsius, and securely placing them in dewars filled with liquid nitrogen for the maintenance of cryopreservation. Patients are stored in the underground part of the new facility which is located in Rafz, Switzerland. Additionally, EBF conducts basic and translational research and development projects to advance Biostasis science.

More about the European Biostasis Foundation

The EBF is a non-profit foundation (see the board pictured) dedicated to furthering Biostasis science and providing a highly secure long-term care facility for cryopreserved patients. Since the EBF is a Swiss foundation it is subject to strict regulation, including being overseen by a Swiss government body that ensures that the foundation does not ever change its purpose or mission. The statutes and bylaws of the EBF were made to optimize stability (e.g. self amending board, vote quorums, etc). Furthermore, geographically, EBF is located in area with low risks for all types of natural disasters.
